LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Monday night urged supporters to be careful of fake UniTeam identification cards in exchange for P20 as membership fee.

Duterte also said there is no truth that UniTeam standard-bearer, former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) is giving P5,000 to every individual.

Duterte debunked the lies being spread by some groups, apparently to besmirch the UniTeam and its frontrunner tandem, which are on their way to a landslide victory in the presidential elections based on various election surveys.

“We call on the public not to believe these claims of certain groups about an ID that is worth P20 and there will be a grant of P5,000 from the presidential candidate of the UniTeam, Bongbong Marcos,” Duterte said upon returning to Davao City from a 28-day Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride (MNPR) that took her to different provinces around the country.

“These are not true, this is a scam. So, if they know of any information about this, they should immediately report it to us, the UniTeam, so that we can appropriately act on it,” Duterte appealed.

She also belied reports – as she thawed a question from a journalist—that Marcos will give P5,000 to every voter when he visits Mindanao.

Duterte instead thanked Filipinos for their support and for showing their affection during her monthlong ride that took her to 34 provinces from north to south of the country.

“I will never forget the warmth of the Filipino people we met along the way, and I will always remember the courage, the strength and the resiliency they’ve shown as we passed by rain or shine,” Duterte said.

The Davao City mayor also expressed her gratitude to House Majority Leader and Lakas-CMD President Martin G. Romualdez for his support during her country-wide tour where she spread the core programs and message of patriotism, love, unity and hope of the UniTeam.
