9,821 law graduates to take Bar exams

SOME 9, 821 law graduates are expected to take the 2022 Bar Examinations – arguably the toughest professional licensure test in the country – that will begin Wednesday, November 9.

The next Bar Examination dates will be on November 13, 16, and 20, 2022.

Exactly 5,847 of the 9,821 Bar hopefuls will be taking the examinations for the first time, while 3,974 will try their luck for the second time or more.

The Bar exams will be held in the following 14 testing centers:

National Capital Region – San Beda College in Manila, De La Salle University along Taft Avenue, Manila, Adventist College in Pasay City, Ateneo Junior and High School Complex in Ateneo de Manila University, and University of the Philippines in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Luzon – St. Louis University in Baguio City, De La Salle Lipa, and University of Nueva Caceres in Camarines Sur.

Visayas – University of Cebu, University of San Carlos in Cebu City, and Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation in Tacloban City.

Mindanao – Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City, Ateneo de Davao University, and Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

Of the testing centers, Ateneo de Manila University will have the largest number of Bar examinees at 2,529, while Ateneo de Zamboanga University will have the least number of examinees at 267.

The number of Bar examinees in the 12 other testing centers are as follows: (NCR) San Beda University — 600; De La Salle University — 794; Manila Adventist College — 350; University of the Philippines–Bonifacio Global City — 680; (Luzon) Saint Louis University — 1000; De La Salle Lipa — 366; University of Nueva Caceres — 465; (Visayas) University of Cebu – 789; University of San Carlos — 530; Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation — 392; (Mindanao) Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan — 464; and Ateneo de Davao University — 780.

This year’s Bar Examinations Committee Chairperson is Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa.
