6 fall in ‘drugs along the riles’
SIX persons were arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) during a buy-bust along the railroad tracks in Tondo, Manila.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Jefferson Mercado, 29, tricycle driver, of 1984 Batangas St., Tondo and his cohort Rosemarie Reyes, 27, of Basan Street, Quiapo, Manila.
Nabbed while allegedly buying drugs were Danilo Borja, 40; Randy Aquino, 35; Angelo Bulibuli, 20 and Denver De Jesus, 25, all of Tondo, Manila.
Investigation by the MPD-Station 7 showed the operation was conducted at around 4 a.m. along the railroad tracks near Batangas Street where Mercado was the target, based on tipped information.
A police poseur-buyer was able to purchase drugs from Mercado along with the other customers.
Mercado was nabbed once the deal was consummated.
The suspects yielded 4.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P30,600 and were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
