10 ex-rebels surrender in Tarlac

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga–PRO 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said 10 former rebels have surrendered in Tarlac.

In Tarlac, two former Anak Pawis members, alias ‘Cilong’ and ‘Lanting, withdrew their support from their group. The two are operating in Moncada, Tarlac.

The two also turned over one rifle-propelled grenade to the police.

An ex-rebel fighter, identified as ‘Ka Mike’ belonging to the KLG-TARZAM operating in Tarlac and Zambales, also surrendered to authorities.

He handed over one caliber 38 revolver, one rifle-propelled grenade, two meters of firing wire with blasting cap, 10 commercial time fuse and one 9-volt battery power source.

Three former members of terror group Narciso Antazo Aramil command and one member of the Eduardo Dagli command in Bulacan voluntarily turned themselves in to the police.

They surrendered a .45 pistol with three bullets, a hand grenade and a rifle grenade with a bullet trap.

The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 also welcomed alias ‘Opring’ to the fold of the law. He used to belong to the Militia ng Bayan in San Jose, Tarlac.

In Bataan, two former members withdrew their support from Anak Pawia and pledged their allegiance back to the government.

“We warmly welcome our fellow Filipinos back to our side to reunite with their families. The police and other government agencies will gladly assist their reintegration into their communities,” said Hidalgo.
