Woman dies, minor hurt in Batangas road mishap
BATANGAS CITY – A woman was killed, and a minor was injured after being run over by a motorcycle along the street in Barangay Pallocan East Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
The fatality was identified as a 36-year-old unemployed woman.
The suspect was a resident of Bgy. Sampaga Centro, Batangas City.
Initial investigation showed that around 10:30 a.m., the suspect was seen driving a Yamaha Mio 125 motorcycle along the National Road of Bgy. Pallocan East, heading Bgy. Sampaga direction when the suspect suddenly lost control of the motorcycle and slid continuously on the concrete road and hit the woman and the minor victim crossing the road.
The victims sustained injuries on different parts of their bodies and were immediately brought to Jesus of Nazareth Hospital for medical treatment, but the woman was pronounced dead while being treated by the attending physician at about 1:30 p.m.
