Van truck pins down couple in Antique
A COUPLE on Wednesday died after they were pinned down by a wing van truck in an accident in Antique.
Police identified the victims as Ricardo Samones, 69, and Lucile Samones, 59, of Bgy. San Roque, Anini-y, Antique.
The couple were traveling on a motorcycle upon reaching Bgy. Magdalena Anini-y, they were hit by a six-wheeler wing van truck driven by Ricky Azuelo of Ajuy, Iloilo.
Witnesses said the van truck turned on its side, pinning the couple under.
Responding lawmen arrested the van truck driver who is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide.
