Thief nabbed for selling stolen MC online
A 25-year-old man was arrested for selling a stolen motorcycle which he posted on FaceBook, police said yesterday.
In a report, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as Fahad Macalandap of Bgy. Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
Victim Jose Miranda told investigators that his motorcycle parked in their garage when it was stolen last May 28.
Last Thursday, he noticed a motorcycle with a semblance of his missing vehicle posted for sale at the FaceBook Market Place page.
Miranda immediately sought the assistance of the Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) and an entrapment was immediately conducted.
The victim transacted with the seller wherein they agreed to meet up at a gasoline station on Susano Road in Bgy. San Agustine.
Unknown to the suspect, PS-4 operatives were already at the vicinity.
After Miranda positively identified the Honda Wave 125 (no plate) motorcycle, police immediately arrested Macalandap.
The suspect was charged with violation of anti-fencing law.
