Subic sting nets 5 drug peddlers
SUBIC, ZAMBALES — Five drug suspects including a target-list drug personality on Friday were arrested in a suspected drug den raid that resulted in the seizure of P81,600 worth of shabu in Bgy. Ilwas, Subic.
Authorities identified the target-listed suspects as Ryan Rarick alias Jayr, 34, of Purok 5, Mangan-Vaca, Subic; Gerry Recote, 32, of Purok 3, Mangan-Vaca, Subic; Ferdinand Velasco, 42, of Sindol, San Felipe, Zambales; Norman Palo, 32, of Dinalupihan, Bataan; and Teresita Chavez, 61, of Purok 6 Peñaranda, Calapacuan, Zambales.
The entrapment yielded four plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P81,600, assorted drug paraphernalias and the buy-bust money.
The operation was conducted by PDEA Central Luzon, PNP RMU3 Maritime Unit, PNP-Olongapo City Maritime Police, PNP-CIDG Zambales and Subic police.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the five suspects.
