Student, 16, held for rape in Ecija
BONGABON, Nueva Ecija – Police nabbed a 16-year-old male student with an outstanding arrest warrant for rape issued by a local court in Palayan City.
Town police head Major Nelson Sarmiento said the suspect, whose identification was withheld for still being a minor, was collared in Bgy. Santor at 11:45 a.m.
Police served an arrest warrant for rape through sexual assault issued by the Palayan City Family Court Branch 7 with a recommended bail for the suspect’s temporary release from detention at P120,000.
Sarmiento said the nabbed minor is now locked up at the custodial facility here for proper disposition. By Steve A. Gosuico
