Sikyu hunted for shooting, wounding triker in Malabon

AUTHORITIES are hunting down a security guard who shot and seriously wounded a tricycle driver following their heated altercation Saturday evening in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Joel Villanueva ordered a manhunt for Ralph Relly Galeos, 32, security guard of Dura Lex Security and Investigation Service Inc. and resident of 8C Adalia St. Brgy. Longos after he allegedly shot Anthony Arcilla, 35, in the head.

Case investigators P/SSgt. Mardelio Osting and P/SSgt. Ernie Baroy said Arcilla was rushed by elements of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) of Malabon City to the Mary Johnston Hospital in Tondo, Manila for surgery. The suspect fled after the incident.

Prior to the incident, Arcilla and his live-in partner, Rosalina Paras, 30 were inside their house on 78 Lutos St., Brgy. Longos when the suspect arrived at around 11:45 p.m. and asked the victim if they can talk outside the house.

Witness Midel Navarro, 63, told police that he was inside his house when he heard the victim and the suspect engaged in a heated argument at the corner of Lutos and Borromeo Streets.

The witness sakd that when he went outside, he saw Galeos shooting the victim before fleeing.

Police are still conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the motive behind the incident.
