Na magtagumpay ang Charter reform
NANGAKO si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na itutulak ang panukalang Charter reform upang magtagumpay ang hangarin na maamyendahan ang restrictive economic provision ng Konstitusyon.
Ginawa ni Speaker Romualdez ang pangako kasabay ang kanyang pagpuri sa naging resulta ng survey ng big data research firm na Tangere, kung saan 52 porsyento ang nagsabi na suportado nila ang pag-amyenda sa Saligang Batas.
“We are determined to sustain this momentum and collaborate with all parties involved to realize the constitutional amendments that will pave the way for a more prosperous, just, and equitable future for the Philippines,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Para kay Speaker Romualdez, ipinapakita ng resulta ng survey ang pagbabago sa sentimyento ng publiko at ang dumadaming bilang ng mga pabor sa pagbabago sa Saligang Batas.
“The approval for amending the Constitution, while slight, is nonetheless significant. It represents an evolving perspective among Filipinos, recognizing the potential benefits and the necessity of updating our nation’s charter to meet current and future challenges,” sabi ng lider ng Kamara na mayroong mahigit 300 miyembro.
“As Speaker, the positive feedback and growing support from our constituents fortify my conviction in the vital mission to refine and enhance our constitutional framework. It propels us to advance our legislative responsibilities with increased dedication and resolve,” giit pa nito.
Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na naging masusi ang pagtalakay ng Committee of the Whole House sa panukala at pinakinggan ang bawat resource person upang malaman ang argumento ng iba’t ibang panig.
“These efforts affirm that our legislative process is aligned with the people’s evolving views and needs. These discussions have not only deepened our parliamentary debates but have also ensured that the push for constitutional reform is rooted in well-informed and comprehensive public discourse,” sabi pa nito.
“Under my leadership, the House of Representatives remains committed to fostering an environment where all stakeholders can contribute to meaningful and productive discussions on potential changes to our Constitution,” saad pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
