PNP chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar is given a plaque by his proud fellow Tagkawayan, Quezon natives on Tuesday.

PROUD Tagkawayan, Quezon residents on Tuesday welcomed their humble son-turned Philippine National Police chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar as the latter attended a flag-raising ceremony at the municipal hall.

Before the event, the top cop visited the tomb of his late father Victor, a World War II guerrilla fighter whose birthday coincided with the homecoming visit of his son. Gen. Eeazar’s brother Carlo is currently the Tagkawayan mayor.

Eleazar also inspected the PNP Maritime Group detachment and the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station during his visit.

The member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Hinirang’ Class of 1987 became the 26th chief of the 210,000-strong police force since it was created in 1991 and the 6th to be designated by President Duterte since he won the presidency in 2016. With Gil Aman & Jojo Magsombol
