PNP-DEG men haul 7 drug suspects to jail
PHILIPPINE National Police Drug Enforcement Group director, Brigadier General Randy Q. Peralta on Sunday announced the arrest of seven wanted drug personalities in the country following a series of manhunt operations.
“We have accounted for seven more persons wanted for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in line with our stepped-up effort to put to jail all wanted personalities as ordered by PNP chief, General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr.,” said the PNP-DEG director.
Brig. Gen. Peralta said that one of the suspects identified as Herbert Alcontin,25, was arrested along T. Padilla Street in Barangay Day-as, Cebu City on Friday afternoon on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Ferdinand Collantes of the Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 15.
The 2nd identified as Roberto Almerol,37, was served a warrant for his arrest issued by Judge Mervin Samadan of the Urdaneta City RTC Branch 45 in Pangasinan inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology detention facility where he is being held for another case.
Another identified as Christopher dela Cruz,44, was arrested inside his house on 66 M. Blas St., Bgy. Hulong Duhat, Malabon City on the basis of a warrant issued by Judge Jimmy Edmund Batara of the Malabon City RTC Branch 72.
Last Tuesday, the 4th suspect described as a 15-year old Child-in-Conflict-with Law was arrested in Bago City in Negros Occidental on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mary Jennifer Protacio-Arches of the Bago City RTC Branch 62.
The CICL has been ordered to serve his jail term for violation of the anti-drug law. The 5th identified as Mark Aviles,42, was arrested in Sitio Salvador in Bgy. Tangke, Talisay City in Cebu last Friday.
Judge Judilyn Tapia-Menchavez of the Toledo City RTC Branch 59 ordered the arrest of the suspect.
The 6th identified as Kobe Salaza,24, a resident of Purok Himaya in Bgy. Mansilingan in Bacolod City in Negros Occidental was arrested on the basis of a warrant issued by Judge Therese Blanche Bolunia of the Bacolod City RTC Branch 47.
The 7th, Irene Dave Magturo,28, was arrested along Queen Isabel St. in Bgy. Queens Raw East in Bacoor City in Cavite also last Friday. Judge Arnel Espiritu of the Bacoor City RTC Branch 110 ordered the arrest of the suspect.
