PHILIPPINE Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso A. Ver, together with seven members of the House of Representatives, visited the Philippines Pavilion at the ongoing Arabian Travel Market 2023 at the World Trade Center in Dubai on May 2, 2023 to promote the Philippine’s tourist destinations.

The Philippine participation is led by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Tourism Promotion Board Philippines (TPBPHL).

“As we see the number of Filipinos growing here in the GCC, with over a million in the UAE alone, we should be able to translate this into huge numbers of tourist arrivals from this region. I am pleased with the strong participation of the Philippines in the Arabian Travel Market signaling our readiness to turn the huge potential into real gains. Through the DOT and TPBPHL’s efforts, backed by Congress, with the keen support of Filipinos in the UAE, we hope to convince the GCC region to venture into the Philippines’ tourist offerings,” Ver said.

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is a leading global event in the Middle East for inbound and outbound travel industry with over 2,800 products and destinations from around the world being promoted and attended by more than 30,000 buyers and trade visitors.
