A P1-billion jackpot prize lotto and a two-digit game will be introduced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Royina Garma, PCSO general manager and vice chairperson of the board, said that on their pipeline are two new lotto and digit games that will provide new and exciting lottery and digit games for the Filipino betting public that will again raise funds for charity programs of the government.

The Win-A-Billion lotto game will have up for grabs three times a week a lottery game with a P1-billion jackpot, guaranteed.

The other is the Birthday Panalo digit game that will offer a loyal player a chance to win on his or her birthday in a year.

“The jackpot prize there is P1 billion peso guaranteed…Diba ang saya?” Garma said in an impromptu press briefing during turnover ceremonies at the PCSO head offices in Mandaluyong recently of P49 million worth of checks representing lotto and small town lottery games to the Commission on Higher Education and local government units of Metro Manila.

The billion-peso prize lotto, she said, will require a minimum bet of P99 that will give one a chance to win a P1 billion jackpot prize.

“And there will be consolation prizes of P100 million to P500 million,” Garma said.

The Birthday Panalo game, on the other hand, offers an opportunity to win in one year on the two-digits of one’s birthday.

Garma, however, stressed that there are some legal issues they have to thresh out to launch the two new games.

“I’ve promoted it already but there’s still no greenlight…May mga legal concerns lang kaming ina-address. We want the games to be legitimate. So that in the future, we will not have legal issues that needs to be addressed,” Garma said.

Garma said that the Birthday Panalo game was supposed to be launched last December.

“But we’re just waiting for one more legal opinion. That’s from the GPPB (Government Procurement Policy Board) sa DBM (Department of Budget and Management). Kasi may legal issue kasi on how we procure the game. So we are just waiting for that opinion and hopefully we will be able to get a favorable opinion from them. Yun na lang po ang hinihintay. Actually, everything is ready,” Garma said.
