PBBM, Mandanas inaugurate Mega Manufacturing Plant in Batangas
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and Batangas Governor ‘DoDo’ Mandanas led the inauguration of the Mega Manufacturing Plant in Sto. Tomas, Batangas on Wednesday, March 1.
The company is known for manufacturing a well-known brand of sardines, tuna products canned fruits, and vegetables. It is expected to open more than 1,000 jobs for Batangueños and residents of neighboring provinces.
In his message, Mandanas welcomed and thanked the management of Mega Prime Foods for opening a plant in Batangas which he described as a “well-decided location” because,
Mandanas added that Batangas is the “gateway of the agro-industrial corridor of the Philippines” and part of the Southeast Asian logistics hub network.”
The governor added that the provincial government is united in strengthening food security and job and livelihood opportunities to further improve the quality of life of Filipinos.
Among those who joined the gathering was 3rd District Congresswoman Ma. Theresa Collantes, Sto. Tomas Mayor Art Jun Marasigan, Anakalusugan Partylist Congressman Ray Florence Reyes, Lian Vice Mayor Ronin Leviste, Batangas City Councilor Andrea Macaraig, and other local officials of Sto. Tomas.
