OIL PRICE HIKE AGAIN
LOCAL oil firms yesterday announced their second consecutive week of fuel price increase starting today.
Chevron Philippines will implement at 12:01 a.m. an increase of its gasoline products by P1.35 per liter, diesel by P0.45 and kerosene by P0.35 while two other major oil firms, Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell would carry our the same price increase effective at 6 a.m., along with small players Flying V and Seaoil Philippines.
Independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum, Petro Gazz, Unioil Philippines, Total Philippines and Eastern Petroleum which do not sell kerosene announced that they will also implement an increase of P1.35 per liter on gasoline and P0.45 per liter on diesel, also at 6 a.m. while Clean Fuel at 4:01 p.m. today
PTT Communication Officer Jay Julian said this week’s second round of price hikes reflect the movement in the international oil market.
