AT the zoom presscon for the movie for streaming, ‘Bela Luna,’ we asked direk Mac Alejandre if he has plan of making a movie similar to ‘My Father, Myself. “I am open to it but not now, my schedule won’t permit it.

Ricky Lee and i has lined up projects for Vivamax for the entire year.”

Should he do one, may we request for a happy ending at walang magsu-suicide na character.”

Back to” Bela Luna,” it is a story of two women played both by Angeli Khang.

It is a film with two different stories about two different women who are more connected than it seems. Luna (Angeli Khang), is a teacher who suffers at the hands of her abusive husband, Abe (Julio Diaz). Luna longs for the day when she finally gets to abandon him. Luna’s suffering from Abe finally had a chance of ending when she met Diego (Mark Anthony Fernandez), a man she met in the most unwanted situation but changed her life and made her more passionate about love.

Bela is an empowered city girl who lives with her boyfriend Arnold (Kiko Estrada). Together, they are working on a special project which soon puts their relationship on the rocks.

As their paths cross, something their lives will change forever.

Produced by Viva Films, get to know Bela and Luna as their story streams exclusively on Vivamax. BELA LUNA premieres this January 27, 2023.

Xian excited excited being called Direk

IN 2009, Xian Lim starred and directed Two Funerals an Indie project for Cinemalaya. He has always dreamed of working behind the camera and being called Direk thrilled him to no end.

Xian goes mainstream in Viva films “Hello, Universe!” set for release in theaters on January 25.

Topbilled by Janno Gibbs who makes a screen comeback, here is what the comedy film is all about.

It is the story of Ariel (Janno Gibbs) a man who can’t seem to move on from a failure. It is written and directed by Xian, taking inspiration from his personal experience of dreaming to be a professional basketball player before he entered show business.

Ariel is married to his high school sweetheart (Maui Taylor), father to a sweet and hardworking young lady (Madelaine Red), works as a quality inspector in a fertilizer company, and now experiencing midlife crisis.

Ariel feels that if only he had made that winning shot during a crucial basketball game back in high school, his life would have turned out way better. He is particularly envious of his former rival who is now wealthy basketball coach. Luckily, Ariel’s best friend Rocky (Anjo Yllana), is always there to cheer him up.

As they say, repeated thoughts are a great magnet and the universe conspires to help you achieve your dreams. In the case of Ariel, it takes a magical figure named Jessie (Benjie Paras), with a futuristic jeepney, to let him live the life he’s always dreamed of – in an alternate universe.

In his new reality, Ariel finds himself with a new wife (Sunshine Guimary), a new daughter (Majo Lingat), but still with the same old foes, Mac Morales (Gene Padilla), his arch nemesis in basketball, and Leeroy (MJ Cayabyab), the manager at the fertilizer company.

Join Ariel as the charmed life he has envisioned suddenly becomes chaotic. Expect lots of gags and laughs, and a touch of drama as life of Ariel become chaotic.

“Hello, Universe!” opens in cinemas on January 25, 2023. From Viva Films
