
New Or. Mindoro Heritage, Cultural Center unveiled
ORIENTAL MINDORO – Governor Bonz Dolor together with the Department of Tourism (DOT)-Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) Regional Director Atty. Bevienne G. Malateo, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Executive Director Oscar Casaysay, and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Director Agustin Mendoza recently inaugurated the new “Oriental Mindoro Heritage and Cultural Center” located in Mansalay town.
The P30 million project will serve as the “identity” of the indigenous people (IP) of Oriental Mindoro and preserve the art and culture inherited by their ancestors who first settled on the island of Mindoro. According to the governor, the center is the “dream legacy” of his administration for IPs.
