NATIONAL Ecozone McKinley Eagles Club displayed too much class in beating CBPMEC Makati Eagles, 76-42, at the start of the first United Eagles Basketball League at South Spring Residential Estate covered court in Binan, Laguna.

Led by chapter President Ryan Clemente and coach Medel Delos Santos, the Eagles rode on the troika of Enrico Mofar, Nico Cordova and Orlando Sol in beating CBPMECamd taking the headstart in this six-team tournament organized by Charlo Balindo.

Mofar. the leader of famous Masculados dance group, topscored with 14 points while fellow membersCordova and Sol added 12 and 10 points, respectively, for McKinley Eagles from Taguig City.

Four other players — Hutch Pia, Mark Alviar, Gab Gutierrez and Neil Toledo — also played well for McKinley Eagles.

Assisting Medel on the bench are Dan Mark Paule, Lindy Napigkit and team managers Roosevelt Lasac and Dra Jessica Matias.

Supporting the team ara Ernie Chua of Master Siomai, Janice Bayutas of Fortune Advertising, Ferdie Samiling of Water Health, Nelvin Eustaquio of Growin Food Supplements Trading and Jan Michael Chua of Tres Pacifico Construction, Versa Aestetics and RIL Transportation Services.

The other four participating teams are City of Brave Binan City, Perpetual Brave, San Pedro Matikas and City of Brave Cabuyao City.

The tournament is one of the sports tournamenst being organized by the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles).

This year’s theme is Service through Strong Brotherhood. AA
