Marcos to Pinoys in Australia: Come home and visit Bagong Pilipinas

PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has invited Filipinos in Austealia to visit the Philippines.

Marcos made the statement during a meeting with the Filipino community in Melbourne, Australia.

Marcos said Filipinks shoild visit the country and see for themselves the developments under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign.

“Let us always remember that the adage that is true, that home is where the heart is. So cherish your Filipino identity because in that way you remain connected to us, to the Philippines, no matter where you are,” Marcos said.

“Before I end, let me invite you again to visit the Philippines soon and see for yourself the new Pilipinas, Ang Bagong Pilipinas. ‘Yan po ang aming itinataguyod. ‘Yan po ang aking ipinaglalaban ngayon,” he said.

Marcos encourage Filipinos in Australia to embrace and celebrate their Filipino heritage, pass on the love for the Philippines to their children, grandchildren, and to all the generation that follows.

“Iuwi n’yo muna sa Pilipinas para makita nila ang ibig n’yong sabihin. Siguro hindi nila naaalala ‘yung mga bayani ng Pilipinas, hindi nila alam ‘yung mga lugar na sinasabi natin at simpleng simple lang, makikita nila kung gaano kaganda ang pinakamagandang bansa sa buong mundo, ang Pilipinas,” Marcos said.

There are 408,000 Filipinos are living in Australia.
