LPA spotted off Eastern Samar — PAGASA
A LOW pressure area yesterday was spotted off Eastern Samar.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the weather disturbance was last estimated 285 kms. east southeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar
PAGASA weather forecaster Joey Figuracion said the LPA, which was embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone affecting Visayas and Mindanao, is not expected to develop into a tropical depression.
The state-run weather agency said Zambales, Palawan and Mindoro provinces will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon while similar weather conditions may prevail over Eastern Visayas and Caraga region due to the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon and the ITCZ.
