
Lovers yield P1.1 M shabu in Quezon drug bust
SARIAYA, QUEZON — Police operatives on Saturday arrested a couple for allegedly selling more than a million pesos worth of illegal drugs during a drug bust operation in Brgy. Pili in this coastal municipality.
Rommel Rejano, 31, and his live in partner Rose Ann Mendoza, 24, both of Brgy. Dalahican, Lucena City were caught allegedly in possession of shabu, said Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte.
Monte said both suspects belong to the “High Value Individual” list of the Sariaya police under Lt. Col. Rommel Sobrido.
Sobrido said the couple yielded 13 heat- sealed plastic sachets containing 56 grams of shabu with an street value of P1,142,400. Operatives also recovered two P1,000 bills, a slingbag and a cellular phone.
Sobrido said the operation was recorded with the use of recording device, adding that the suspects have have been under their tight watch.
