Since this column could not be with you on a daily basis due to my schedule and other apostolate, I decided a couple of months back to give on a regular basis in my social media accounts a day-to-day vignette of wisdom which I called #kasabihansakamalayan. The purpose of which is to give in “small doses” inspirational insights that could boost day. Here are some of those insights I share that got the most feedback and reaction:

The WORLD may be GREEDY;
Nevertheless, be GENEROUS.

The WORLD may be DUPLICITOUS;
Nevertheless, be TRUTHFUL.

The WORLD may be UNKIND;
Nevertheless, be LOVING.

The WORLD may be INDIFFERENT;
Nevertheless, be SENSITIVE.

The WORLD may be VIOLENT;
Nevertheless, be a PEACEMAKER.

The WORLD may be DEPRESSIVE;
Nevertheless, be HOPEFUL.

And, The WORLD may be GODLESS,
Nevertheless, be RELIGIOUS.

Why? Because YOU have the power to CHANGE the WORLD.

CHRIST is RISEN,
ALLELUIA, we are not forsaken.

CHRIST is RISEN,
ALLELUIA, our faith is strengthen.

CHRIST is RISEN,
ALLELUIA, disbelief is weaken.

CHRIST is RISEN,
ALLELUIA, evil has been beaten.

CHRIST is RISEN,
ALLELUIA, trust in God will never lessen.

GOOD FRIDAY brought suffering,
EASTER SUNDAY came as a blessing.

GOOD FRIDAY had its gloom,
EASTER SUNDAY came with its bloom.

GOOD FRIDAY highlighted death,
EASTER SUNDAY exemplified breath.

GOOD FRIDAY saw the worse in men,
EASTER SUNDAY we were born again.

And, GOOD FRIDAY is when Christ died for our sins,

So that at EASTER SUNDAY our life of redemption begins.

LIFE is a journey, travel it.

LIFE is a gift, appreciate it.

LIFE is a melody, sing it.

LIFE is a performance, deliver it.

LIFE is a meal, savour it.

LIFE is a mystery, discover it.

LIFE is a learning process, study it

LIFE is a game, enjoy it

LIFE is a prayer, contemplate it.

LIFE is a relationship, love it.

And, LIFE is an experience, LIVE it.

EYES that LOVE is non-judgmental;

EARS that LOVE is attentive;

LIPS that LOVE is truthful;

HANDS that LOVE is generous;

KNEES that LOVE is prayerful;

FEET that LOVE is determined;

HEART that LOVE is compassionate;

And, a PERSON that LOVE is God’s Child.

LOVE in THOUGHTS
frees us from prejudice.

LOVE in SIGHT
reduces discrimination.

LOVE in WORDS
encourages the downtrodden.

LOVE in ACTION
empowers the marginalized.

LOVE in LISTENING
creates genuine dialogue.

And, LOVE in PRAYER
brings us closer to God, for HE is LOVE.
