ADAMS, Ilocos Norte–Indigenous Peoples (IPs) living in this municipality have expressed their gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Sen. Imee Marcos, Rep. Sandro Marcos and Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc for giving them free internet connection.

“Agyaman kami President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Senator Imee Marcos, Sandro Marcos, Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc and DICT1 for realizing the “tarigagay” or desire of this community last year when Manong PD visited them. (We thank President Bongbong Marcos, Sen. Imee Marcos, Cong. Sandro Marcos, Gov Matthew Marcos Manotoc and DICT for the desire of this community …),” the IP group said.

Col. Julius Suriben, Adams police director, said that various government agencies and the Ilocos Norte PNP worked hand-in-hand for the internet connection of the IPs, who are mostly residents of barangay Bucarot, Adams.

“The IP community is now connected to the cyber world through DICT’s (Department of Information and Communication Technology) VSAT Free Public Internet,” said Suriben.

This project was made possible through the strong collaboration of the INPPO, provincial government of Ilocos Norte, Office of the 1st Congressional District, LGU Adams, DICT-1 and KKDAT- Ilocandia.

This noble activity is in line with the 28th PCR Month and Cultural Communities Week Celebrations. Food packs, medicines, vitamins and Mc Donalds Happy meals were distributed, said Suriben.

Free Services such as Medical and Dental Checks and Free Haircuts were also provided. Suriben said lectures and consultations were also made by Team INPPO.
