Gun, drugs seized from jobless man in Calamba
THE Drug Enforcement Team (DET) of Calamba police have arrested a 27-year-old jobless man and seized from him illegal drugs and gun during a buy bust Sunday evening in Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City,Laguna.
Laguna Police Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalio II in a report to to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Eliseo DC Cruz identified the arrested suspect identified as, Albert Diaz, of Sitio Majada, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City.
The Drug Enforcement Team (DET) led by PCpt. Richard De Guzman under the supervision of PLTCol. Jonathan Villamor , Chief of Police and members of PDEA Laguna conducted the drug buy bust in Bgy. Canlubang that resulted in the arrest of the suspect at about 8:45 pm.
The suspect sold illegal drugs worth P500 to a police officer who acted as a poseur buyer.
Seized were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing eight grams and estimated street value of P54,440.00, coin purse, Caliber 38 without serial number, four pieces of caliber 38 ammunition, holster for a caliber 38, and the P 500 used in the buy bust.
The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Calamba police station for proper disposition.
