GROUNDBREAKING
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, businessman/ philantropist Leodegario “Ka Luding” Boongaling (left) and Candelaria Mayor George Suayan lead the lowering of capsule during the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Candelaria Police Station building, which will be constructed very soon.
Azurin expressed gratefulness to the municipal government for its continuing support to the police and for donating the 1,000-square meter lot to the PNP, where the building will rise. He also thanked Boongaling, his long time friend, for always providing assistance to the PNP.
Only a few months ago, Azurin had visited Candelaria and awarded a brand new patrol car to the police station. Also present during the activity were Vice Mayor Macario Boongaling and members of the Sangguniang Bayan and barangay, businessman Henry Licup, civic leader Rose Licup, Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.,Southern Luzon Command chief Lt. Gen. Efren Baluyot, Area Police Command deputy commander Brig. Gen. Belli Tamayo, 201st Infantry Brigade commander Col.
