Future weightlifting champs from Cebu
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), represented by Commissioner Ed Hayco and other officials pay a visit to Carreta Weightlifting Gym in Cebu, where more than 100 young weightlifters are now training under veteran coach Gary Hortellano. Carreta is the same neighborhood where Tokyo Olympics seventh-placer Elreen Ando grew up. Weightlifting is one of priority sports in PSC’s grassroots development program under Hayco.
