TOURISM Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco was among the top 10 Cabinet members under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. who got outstanding approval and trust ratings, the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) said.

Dr. Paul Martinez, executive director of RPMD, said Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. of the Department of the Interior and Local Government ranked first among Cabinet officials, with an outstanding approval rating of 85 percent and a trust rating of 90 percent. The approval and trust ratings of Abalos have increased by +7 percentage points since December 2022.

Frasco with 77 percent approval and 75 percent trust ratings; Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin with 75 percent approval and 70 percent trust ratings; Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy with 75 percent approval and 88 percent trust ratings; Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman with 73 percent approval and 70 percent trust ratings; and Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo with 71 percent approval and 67 percent trust ratings, came in at 2nd to 5th places, respectively.

At 6th to 10th places were Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople with 68 percent approval and 65 percent trust ratings; Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla with 68 percent approval and 63 percent trust ratings; Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual with 68 percent approval and 60 percent trust ratings; Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista with 67 percent approval and 65 percent trust ratings; Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra with 67 percent approval and 68 percent trust ratings; Health Acting Secretary Rosario Vergeire with 67 percent approval and 70 percent trust ratings; Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno with 66 percent approval and 68 percent trust ratings; Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. with 66 percent approval and 72 trust ratings; Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Acuzar with 65 percent approval and 62 percent trust ratings; Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan with 63 percent approval and 61 percent trust ratings; and Labor and Employment Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma with 63 percent approval and 60 percent trust ratings, respectively.

The RPMD national poll “Boses ng Bayan” was held in each city in each region from February 25 to March 8, 2023, with a total of 10,000 adult respondents.

The poll respondents were all registered voters, with a margin of error of +/-1 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.

They were selected at random, and the number of respondents per city was proportionally distributed based on official voting population statistics.
