Farmer stabs farmer dead in Batangas
A FARMER died on the spot after being hit in the head with a hard object and being stabbed in the stomach by a farmer in Sitio Maanunang Bgy. Palacpac, Rosario, Batangas.
Rosario Municipal Police Station chief Lt. Col. Col. Karlos S. Lanuza identified the victim as Mario Guno and the suspect as Ariel Ilao Capio, 34 married, both residents of Bgy. Palacpac, Rosario.
Case investigator P/Sg. Derwin Valencia said Bgy. Palacpac Kagawads Councilor Edelmar Dimatulac and Eddie Cueto and Napoleon Capio y Claveria turned over the suspect to the Rosario MPS at about 12 a.m.
Initial investigation showed suspect went to the victim’s house at about 6 p.m. and confronted him. Then a heated argument ensued, witnesses said.
The suspect allegedly grabbed a blunt instrument and repeatedly hit the victim in the head.
The suspect also allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach, killing the latter on the spot.
Police said the suspect also sustained a laceration in his left eyebrow and left wrist.
The remains of the victim will be moved to Crismar Funeral Homes in Padre Garcia, Batangas for a post-mortem examination to be conducted by Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Alice Odette Torres.
