ANTIPOLO – Ivy Lacsina shone as F2 Logistics entered the win column with a 25-20, 25-14, 25-16 sweep of newcomer Nxled in the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference yesterday at the Ynares Center here.

Used as an opposite spiker by coach Regine Diego, Lacsina was efficient with 15-of-28 attacks and 4-of-7 blocks to lead the Cargo Movers to victory.

Later, PLDT cruised to its second consecutive win after a conference opening loss to Cignal with a 25-17, 25-17, 25-20 conquest of Farm Fresh.

A native of Angeles City, Lacsina challenges herself to get better, what ever position she is being tasked.

“Siguro, laging meron sa aking room for improvement po. Hindi pa ako nasa-satisfy sa ginagawa ko. Every game, nag-iisip po ako kung ano pa hindi ko nagawa last time na malaki po ang maging tulong ko sa team po,” said Lacsina.

Jolina dela Cruz had 11 points and 11 receptions while Majoy Baron matched Lacsina’s four blocks for a 10-point outing.

F2 Logistics also drew seven points apiece from Ara Galang and hometown hero Aby Maraño.

“Happy kasi ito ang pagkukuhanan namin ng motivation at confidence coming to our next games. Sobrang proud ako sa team namin because we were able to work and find the solution and we were able to apply it kung paano mas mag-improve ang team namin from the last loss na medyo hindi naging maganda ang resulta,” said Maraño.

“We still have a lot of things to work on and we cannot be complacent,” said coach Regine Diego, as Cargo Movers overcame a tough Chameleons first set effort before coasting to a straight set romp.

Slowly connecting well with veteran playmaker Rhea Dimaculangan, Savannah Davison had 13 kills for a 18-point outing to lead the way for the High Speed Hitters.

“Actually, si Savi, siya yung teammate na parang hindi mahirap pakisamahan. Sobrang bait,” said Dimaculangan on Davison, who also had a solid all-around outing of three service aces, two blocks, eight receptions and seven digs.

“Parehas pa kaming nag-aadjust pero kahit paano, nagko-connect na kaming dalawa,” she added.

Royse Tubino also had two blocks for a 11-point outing and had seven receptions for PLDT.

Davison is thankful for Dimaculangan, who tossed in 10 excellent sets in the win.

“She’s my go-to at practice, during the game,” said Davison.

The Foxies, who drew a combined 21 points from Kate Santiago and Trisha Tubu, stumbled to their third successive defeat.
