Ecija’s no. 9 most wanted man, 2 carnap suspects fall

CABANATUAN CITY – A most wanted man with a frustrated murder case and went into hiding for more than seven years finally fell into the hands of the authorities during manhunt operations conducted in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two other most wanted felons tagged as suspected carnappers were also nabbed in the towns of Quezon and Santo Domingo in separate accomplishment reports submitted to Nueva Ecija top cop, Col. Richard V. Caballero at the Provincial Police Headquarters in this city.

In Talavera, newly-installed municipal police head Lt. Col. Manny E. Israel said arrested was a 40-year-old resident of Bgy. Calipahan, tagged as the town’s number nine most wanted person.

Israel said the suspect was caught in Bgy. Esguerra District after a warrant for frustrated murder was served against him at 8:20 a.m.

The suspect’s arrest warrant was issued by the Baloc, Santo Domingo Regional Trial Court Branch 37 on May 29, 2017, with a recommended bail set at P200,000.

In Quezon, police head Maj.Angelito A. Manalastas said his men conducted a police operation in Bgy. Ilog Baliwag which resulted in the arrest of the 34-year-old suspect.

The operation was carried out on the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 issued by the Guimba Regional Trial Court Branch 31, with a recommended bail of P200,000.

In the other carnapping case, Santo Domingo police head Maj. Sandy C. Bautista said arrested was a 44-year-old suspect in Bgy. San Vicente, Gapan City.

The arrested man had an outstanding warrant for violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 issued by the Baloc, Santo Domingo Regional Trial Court Branch 88, with a recommended bail set at P80,000 for the suspect’s temporary freedom.
