Drug suspect killed in Davao shootout
A 37-YEAR-OLD armed drug trafficker in Davao City was killed in a gunbattle with local policemen out to arrest him in a buy-bust operation last Monday, Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge (PNP-OIC) Lieutenant General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said yesterday.
Suspect alias “Ramram” had just sold drugs to an undercover officer in Bgy. Centro Agdao, when he sensed he was being entrapped, pulled out a concealed firearm and fired a shot at the undercover officer but missed. The cop managed to seek cover and eventually returned fire, hitting the suspect, who died while being taken to a local hospital.
