Drug peddler killed in Zambales shootout
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga—A suspected drug peddler was killed during a buy-bust Sunday in Zambales.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Zambales police commander Col. Romano Velayo Cardinio identified the fatality as Larry Salaman, 36, a fisherman and resident of Purok 6B, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.
Cardinio said members of the Subic and Zambales police conducted a buy-bust on Salaman in Brgy. Cawag, Subic, Zambales which turned into a shootout resulting to his death.
Seized from Salaman were two sachets of shabu worth at least P13,585; two P1,000 marked money; one llama pistol with magazines loaded with live ammunition; one motorcycle; and several bullets.
