Driver held for gun, ammo in Batangas
BATANGAS — A policeman arrested a 35-year-old driver for having a gun tucked in the waist in Plaza Mabini, Bgy. Poblacion 2, Batangas City at 8:10 p.m. on Friday.
Batangas City Police Station top cop P/Lt. Col. Dwight F. Fonte Jr. said the arrested suspect is a resident of Bgy. Calicanto, Batangas City.
The suspect was tying his shoelaces when the patrolling cop saw the handgun tucked in the man’s waist.
The cop grabbed the handgun and immediately arrested the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect was a cal. 38 revolver with five live ammunition. He was brought to the Batangas CPS for documentation and investigation.
The suspect now detained at the Batangas City police station holding cell and facing charges for violation of RA 10591 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act”.
