TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The Department of Health (DOH) formally opened the Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center of Region 4A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon or Calabarzon) in Barangay Osorio, June 14, 2022.

DILG (Department of the Interior and Local Government) Secretary Eduardo Año led the ceremonial unveiling of marker and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the five hectares of property donated by the provincial government of Cavite in collaboration with DILG, DOH, Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), and the local government of Trece Martires City.

The project was funded and built by the Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The 25-building rehab center was launched to cater to illegal drug users, surrenderees, and drug dependents from the Calabarzon region.

The P1.85 billion rehab facility broke ground last July 2018 and was initially targeted to open in 2020 and was finally completed this year.
