Dimaporo: Alvarez posibleng imbestigahan ng Ethics panel

POSIBLE umanong maharap si Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez sa imbestigasyon ng House committee on ethics dahil sa panawagan nito sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na bawiin ang suporta nito kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ito ang sinabi ni Lanao del Norte Rep. Khalid Dimaporo na nagbabala rin kay Alvarez na maghinay-hinay sa kanyang mga sasabihin na maaaring ituring na conduct unbecoming ng isang miyembro ng Kamara de Representantes.
“I would kindly urge the former speaker to be cautious with his words and clear on his intent. At face value, his anti-government statements are unbecoming of a member of the House of Representatives and may warrant an ethics case against him,” sabi ni Dimaporo.
Sa isang political rally ng mga Duterte supporters noong Linggo sa Tagum City, Davao del Norte, nanawagan si Alvarez sa AFP na bawiin ang kanilang suporta kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. dahil sa mga polisiya umano nito na nagpapainit sa tensyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Nang tanungin kung dapat bang kasuhan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) si Alvarez dahil umano sa kanyang seditious statement, sinabi ni Dimaporo na hindi na dapat bigyang importansya ng bansa ang dating speaker.
“As for the DOJ, it should be decided on by the Executive. But I don’t feel he should be given importance. Our country has other more pressing matters for the DOJ to attend to than the grumblings of a politician,” sabi ni Dimaporo.
Marami diumano ang naniniwala na maituturing umanong sedisyon ang mga pahayag ni Alvarez.
Nauna ng sinabi ni Alvarez na dapat mag-resign si Pangulong Marcos Jr. upang si Vice President Sara Duterte na ang mamuno sa bansa.
