Cops baffled by Ecija woman’s death in her bed
GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija — Police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old woman who was discovered dead by her father in her bed on Friday morning here.
Ernesto Delos Reyes told police he found his daughter identified as Pamela Macadangdang-Delos Reyes, 30, lying dead inside their house in Bgy. Balingog West at 7 a.m. here.
She was found with a burn mark on the arms and a wound on her side body. An electric fan was also seen still running beside her, Delos Reyes said.
“Bahagyang nakabukas ang pinto nang datnan ko ang bahay ng aking anak at sa bandang pintuan pa lamang ay may kakaibang amoy na,” he added.
Police probers said it is possible that the victim was killed on Wednesday night since the victim’s body was already bloated and emitting a foul stench.
Witnesses said they saw the victim’s live-in partner identified as alias Kabog, of Bgy. Masalasa, Victoria, Tarlac, leave the house that night.
Police said the victim was last seen sweeping the backyard last Wednesday. However, witnesses wondered why she did not go out to sell barbeque and banana cue the next day.
The victim’s father said they are still awaiting the results of the autopsy report on his daughter’s body before making any legal action.
“Nawawala si alias Kabog na umuwi pa sa kanilang bahay sa Masalasa at nagbihis bago umalis,” he said.
