COP JAILED FOR KILLING MC-RIDING MAN IN PARAÑAQUE CITY

A YOUNG member of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group was arrested and jailed for killing a motorcycle rider on C5 Road located at the boundary of Las Piñas and Parañaque City on Black Saturday, National Capital Region Police Office director Major General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said.

Patrolman Jayrome Licuanan, a resident of Caloocan City was charged with criminal and administrative offenses for shooting motorcycle driver Neil Wong at around 6:48 a.m. Saturday.

An investigation showed that the victim was about to board his motorbike when the cop suddenly drew his firearm and repeatedly shot the victim.

The suspect tried to escape but was arrested by Police Chief Master Sergeant Adrian Dilao, a local policeman who was informed by a concerned citizen regarding the shooting incident.

The accused policeman yielded a PNP-issued caliber 9mm semi-automatic pistol with a magazine containing 11 live ammunition and the victim’s mobile phone.
