SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez has commended the Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI), for their initiatives that showed compassion, encouraged cooperation and contributed significantly to uplifting people’s lives.

“As we gather here tonight in the spirit of the holiday season, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable journey we have embarked upon together this past year,” Romualdez said in his message during the CSFI Christmas party at the House of Representatives.

“The accomplishments of the Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc., under your diligent stewardship, have not only been impressive but have also significantly contributed to the betterment of our society,” he added.

CSFI is spearheaded by its chairperson Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez.

“Your contributions go beyond mere donations. They represent hope, empowerment, and a better future for those in need. From the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria to the various local organizations like Marillac Hills and the Haven for Women, your impact has been profound and far-reaching,” Romualdez said.

Among others, Romualdez cited CSFI’s Art Exhibit themed “Counting 365 Days of Art,” held in collaboration with the Portrait Artists Society of the Philippines Inc., which showcased the rich tapestry of Filipino creativity and talent.

“Our traditional Giant Christmas Tree Lighting became more than just a festive celebration; it was a meaningful fundraising event for our non-organic employees at the House of Representatives,” the House leader said.

He also noted CSFI’s commitment to outreach, exemplified in the gift-giving activity for the non-organic personnel which touched the lives of approximately 800 individuals.

“This act of kindness truly embodies the spirit of giving that defines this season,” Romualdez said.

The Speaker said CSFI’s initiatives, such as the “Sound of Freedom” screening and the sponsorship grants for KABUHAYAN 2023, have not only supported economic empowerment but also raised awareness of critical social issues like child trafficking.
