Mico Castro, election officers of Tanza, Indang, Amadeo, and Trece Martires City, led a joint security command conference concerning the special election in the 7th District of Cavite on February 25, 2023.

Casquejo sat down together with the senior officers of partner agencies like PNP (Philippine National Police) Cavite under Police Colonel Christopher Olazo, AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in a conference held at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort here on January 17, 2023.

Discussions included the start of placing checkpoints in the jurisdiction of the 7th district of the province for the implementation of the gun ban here, which will begin on January 25, 2023.

Four candidates filed their respective “Certificates of Candidacy” (COC) on the two-day filing last December 5 and 6, 2022, at the office of Atty. Mico Morales-Castro in Bahay Ugnayan, Provincial Capitol Grounds in Trece Martires City.

Former Trece Martires City Mayor Melencio de Sagun Jr., Cavite 7th District Board Member Crispin Diego “Pinggoy” Remulla, Jose Angelito Aguinaldo, and Michael Angelo Santos are the four candidates vying for the Congressional post left by Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla.

The said position was vacated when former Cong. Boying Remulla was appointed as Justice secretary by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in July 2022 as part of his Cabinet.

The conference was also attended by the Tanza Police Chief Major Dennis Villanueva, Indang Police Chief Maj. Edward Cantano, Amadeo Police Chief Gilbert Derla, and Lt. Col. Jonathan Asnan of Trece Martires City.
