Chinese nat’l, 3 Pinoy bodyguards Fall for abducting compatriot
POLICE rescued a Chinese national and arrested four of his alleged abductors who held him captive inside a van Monday evening in Parañaque City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/Brig. Gen. John Brion Kraft identified the arrested suspects as Qiang Wang, 34, a Chinese National; a Filipino driver and his personal assistant; and another Filipino, both driver/bodyguard of Qiang.
In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, Kraft said the victim’s sister personally sought the assistance of Tambo Police Sub-Station-2 at around 9:10 p.m. after his brother was held captive by the suspects inside a metallic gray Toyota Hi-Ace van parked at the corner of Bradco Avenue and Macapagal Blvd, beside Aseana Power Station in Bgy. Tambo.
Operatives of Parañaque Police Sub-Station 2 wasted no time and immediately conducted a rescue operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the safe rescue of the victim.
Kraft said police recovered from the suspect a caliber .9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with eight live ammunition and seized the Hi-Ace van they used in their criminal activities.
Estomo and Kraft lauded the prompt action of Parañaque Police led by P/Col. Renato Ocampo, which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
