CAVITE City Mayor Denver Chua and City Social Welfare and Development head Rowena Andrade and Office of Senior Citizen Affairs, DSWD Region 4A surprised and personally visited Nanay Adela Hernandez at her home to award her a P 100K cash gift from the local government in accordance with Republic Act 10868 or the Centenarians Act of 2016 on Thursday, July 29, 2022.

According to Mayor Chua, LGU promised this to mother Adela on her 100th birthday. According to nanay Adela, she will use the cash gift to buy food, medicines and
she will make sure that it goes to something meaningful.
