Carnapped vehicle recovered in NE
GABALDON, Nueva Ecija — The Nueva Ecija and Angeles City police and the Provincial Highway Patrol Group on Tuesday recovered a carnapped car and arrested its possessor during a sting operation in this town.
Nabbed was businessman Geraldo Villante, 48, with residences at Bgy. Malinao this municipality, and Purok 6, Bgy. Lagare, Cabanatuan City.
Villante’s arrest was carried out by members of the local police, the Angeles PNP and the NE-HPG led by Maj. Lester Zafra after an intelligence operation conducted on the suspect turned out positive.
Police head Capt. Aniceto Caraang Jr. said the carnapped vehicle described as a red Toyota Vios, model 2021, with conduction sticker P9-P256 and license plate CBC-1660 registered under the name of Violy Magsipoc Javier, of Pulong Maragul, Angeles City, was recovered from the suspect.
Zafra said the arrested suspect and the recovered vehicle were brought to the police station for documentation and for proper turnover to the Angeles City PNP and to the NE-HPG office.
