Caloocan has ‘zero’ tolerance for heinous crimes – Malapitan
Cops net 3 MWPs
FOLLOWING the instruction issued by Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan to the local police to present the city’s public enemies, the Caloocan City Police Station presented the “most wanted persons” (MWPs) they arrested on Monday.
Caloocan Police Chief P/Col. Samuel Mina presented the suspects as “Christian”, a top 3 MWP facing rape charges; “Sonny”, a “high-value individual” (HVI) with pending cases of attempted murder, robbery holdup, and illegal drugs; and “Ricardo”, another HVI wanted for illegal drugs and theft who were nabbed through the “Case Operation Plan” (COPLAN) of the Caloocan Police-Northern Police District.
They were presented by P/Maj. Jeraldson Rivera, chief of the Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) and P/Maj. John David Chua from the Chief Intelligence Section of Caloocan Police.
During the command conference, Mayor Malapitan instructed Col. Mina to present the MWPs to the media and ensure sufficient “police visibility” in the city’s communities.
“Zero tolerance tayo sa heinous crimes. Lilinisin natin ang listahan, lahat ng mga kriminal at gumagambala sa katahimikan ng lungsod arestuhin,” the mayor said.
He also reiterated his instructions to continue and develop new efforts to combat illegal drugs in the city.
“Huwag sana tayo tumigil na hulihin at parusahan ang mga tulak. Ipagpatuloy at humanap tayo ng mga bagong paraan para mas mapaigting ang pakikipaglaban natin sa ilegal na droga,” Mayor Malapitan ordered.
Mayor Malapitan expressed his appreciation to Col. Mina for their service and assured that the city government will support the police force’s programs and needs.
“Maraming salamat sa agad na pagtugon, asahan niyo po ang tuloy-tuloy na pagsuporta ng pamahalaan sa inyong mga programa at anumang inyong kakailanganin upang magampanan ang inyong tungkulin,” the mayor said.
