BPPO, groups conduct outreach programs in Batangas City

THE Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) Director Police Colonel Pedro D. Soliba gladly announced to Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., the successful outreach program launched by the Batangas PNP (Philippine National Police) in collaboration with various groups that have been partners in various police activities here in Sitio Puyo, Barangay Santa Clara, Batangas City, Sunday.

The Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), together with the Batangas City Police Station (CPS), conducted a medical and dental mission, feeding program, and Operation “tuli” (circumcision) in collaboration with the Regional Medical and Dental Unit and Batangas Provincial Health Service, Philippine Dental Association Batangas City Chapter, Provincial Health Office Batangas, Batangas Lions Club, Soroptimist International Batangas Downtown, Officer Ladies Club, and Bauan-San Pascual Eagles Club.

The services included in the activity were a feeding program with 100 beneficiaries, Operation “tuli” with some 68 male beneficiaries, medical check-ups for 200 people and eye checks for 150 people, dental checks with 50 youths given fluoride, and free draw for 37 people.

Soroptimist International and the Philippine Dental Association also distributed free medicine, eyeglasses, school supplies, and dental kits to 50 youths, followed by food packs from the BPPO and Batangas City.

Soliba said, “Your police are ready to help our fellow Batangueños. If anyone wants to contact us at the Batangas PNP to extend help to our people, we will gladly accommodate you. Let’s progress together.”
