Boy, 19, nabbed for ‘cybersex threat’ on gf, 14
A 19-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested in an entrapment operation on September 20, 2022 at an internet cafe in Bgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City, for allegedly threatening his 14-year-old virtual girlfriend that he will post his nude photos on social media if she refused to meet with him.
The suspect who is now under police custody is facing charges for violation of Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of RPC, R.A 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women, R.A 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and their Children Act of 2004), R.A 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), and Sec(4)(h) of R.A 9775 (Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009) all in relation to Sec 6 of R.A 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
The victim’s mother reportedly complained that in January 2022, her daughter and the suspect met through Facebook and had a cyber relationship. In one incident, the suspect reportedly took screen shot photos of the victim without her knowledge while she was undressed.
The suspect allegedly sent the nude photos of the victim to her friends and the Facebook page of the school where the victim is attending.
The suspect allegedly threatened to continue spreading her nude photos online if she didn’t meet with him.
