Boss Emong to defend Philracom Chairman‘s Cup
THE 2023 Philracom Chairman’s Cup offers a guaranteed total prize of P2.5 million when it fires off on Sunday at the Metro Manila Turf Club in Malvar, Batangas.
Featuring the best thoroughbreds in the land, the Philracom Chairman’s Cup will cover a lung-busting 2,000 meters with defending champion Boss Emong of KL Morales and 2022 Presidential Gold Cup winner Big Lagoon, owned by Mallaine Habla, among the favorites.
Don Julio of horse owner Jun Sevilla is likewise seen as a top contender among the seven gallopers in the lineup that includes Ambisioso, Gomezian and Robinhood.
Ridden by jockey JT Zarate, Boss Emong ruled the 1,800-meter Classic Cup Race recently while Big Lagoon topped the 1,600-meter Commissioner’s Cup with jockey JA Guce.
