Blacklist sweeps ECHO, books M4 ticket

THERE’S no stopping Blacklist International.

Blacklist completed a 3-0 sweep of ECHO in the upper bracket finals of the MPL Philippines Season 10 playoffs at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City on Saturday.

With the win, Blacklist also made history by becoming the first Filipino team to make back-to-back appearances in the world championship.

Blacklist will also return to the MPL PH final for the third time in six seasons after missing the playoffs last season.

The Tier One-supported team now awaits its opponent in the grand finals which could either be ECHO, RSG Philippines and Bren Esports.

With Salic “Hadji” Imam and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario leading the way, Blacklist took Game 1.

Imam had two kills, a death, and 10 assists while Del Rosario had three kills, two deaths, and 11 assists performances.

In Game 2, Blacklist ended the match in 19 minutes and 31 seconds with 12-6 victory behind Kiel Calvin “Oheb” Soriano and Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna.

Oheb (Claude) with a perfect record of eight kills, zero death and three assists and OhMyV33nus (Diggie) had 0-4-12 KDA to power Blacklist to 2-0 victory.

In the Game Three, Blacklist dominated ECHO with 11-2 score. Oheb had another clean record 4-0-2 KDA while Wise also had perfect record of 3-0-3 KDA and OhMyV33nus zero kills one death and six assists to end the match at 13:50.

Only Sanford Marin “Sanford” Vinuya and Frederic Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales who scored for ECHO.

Despite the setback, ECHO still has a chance to make it to the grand finals and slot for M4 World Championships in the lower bracket.

The MPL PH Season 10 finals will be held starting at 4 p.m. Sunday also at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan.
