BLACKLIST International is back to its rightful place as the champion in the MPL Philippines Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City over the weekend.

Led by Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna, Blacklist routed ECHO, 4-2, in their Season 10 Grand Finals showdown to capture the title for the third time in the league.

With back-to-back titles in Seasons 7 and 8, Blacklist also became the first team to win three championships.

Blacklist missed the playoffs in Season 9.

The win was worth the lion’s share of the US$150,000 prize pool.

Both Blacklist International and ECHO, however, will represent the country in the M4 World Championships scheduled in Jakarta, Indonesia on January.

Del Rosario, one of 10 players inducted into the MPL Hall of Legends last Sunday, opened the match with an off-meta Valentina jungle, finishing strong with a 7/0/5 record.

Trailling 1-2 in the start of Game 4. Edward “Edward” Jay Dapadap and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano led Blacklist to the equalizer.

Edward used one of his signature picks, Benedetta, and finished with 5-1-8 KDA In Game 5, he picked Uranus as he tallied a perfect record and helped Blacklist to get back on track with two kills, zero deaths and 13 assists for 3-2 lead.3-2.

In Game 6, Villaluna teamed up with Kiel “Oheb” Sorian and Salid “Hadji” Imam to kill three members of ECHO.

Edward was named the finals MVP.

Actually, the Tier One-backed Blacklist team booked the first grand final slot with a thrilling 3-2 victory over ECHO in the upper bracket quarterfinal.

They also swept ECHO in the upper bracket final.

ECHO, however, fought back.

After being relegated to the lower bracket final, ECHO bounced back and eliminated defending champion RSG PH, 3-1, to arrange a highly-anticipated rematch with Blacklist.
